Emilie Descamps, Dietitian and Nutritionist
Our diet is inseparable from our health.
That’s why I help expatriates make their diet their best health ally.
I offer individual nutritional care to improve your health in a preventive or curative way. I also offer group workshops to help you (re)discover your food sensations and regulate your food intake.
My goal is to help you adapt your diet to your lifestyle, tastes, medical conditions, and above all, your enjoyment. My recommendations are based on a balanced, varied diet that is low on the glycemic index and anti-inflammatory.
At Lille University Hospital, I supported patients with obesity before and after their stomach surgery.
It was during this period that I specialized in treating overweight patients. Working on food sensations during therapeutic nutrition education workshops proved to be a key factor in the success of patient care.
At Nîmes University Hospital, I looked after patients with diabetes, chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and others who were overweight or suffering from malnutrition.
It was in Nîmes that I discovered the importance of recognizing and respecting feelings of hunger, satiety, and fullness in order to regulate food intake in a healthy and sustainable way.
We recommend her for her teaching skills, team spirit, and proactivity. Her easygoing manner and active listening skills with patients were undeniable assets in the success of her dietary care."
I am a member of the e.V. BABSI Community, which promotes vegetarian and vegan diets in Berlin and certain villages in northern Germany by organizing various events.
Through BABSI’s social media channels and cooking workshops, I provide advice on balanced diets tailored to people who want to reduce their intake of animal protein while still meeting their nutritional needs.
With her accurate advice on macronutrients, protein sources, and creative vegan recipe substitutions, she provides us with vital support.
Her passion about healthy food is very inspiring! "
My background
Originally from Lille in France, I have lived abroad three times, in Spain and the United States, and have been living with my family in Berlin for almost 10 years.
After starting my career in industry, I decided to change direction to be more in line with my beliefs and focus on well-being through nutrition.
I became a dietitian-nutritionist to support those who, like me, want to find fulfillment in their diet.
Trained and certified in France (ADELI number: 599510195), I worked in two university hospitals before setting up my own nutritional care practice in Berlin and online in 2022.
Food is an exciting and powerful tool for taking care of yourself and your health.
It is essential to understand and respect your feelings of hunger, fullness, and satiety, following the principles of G.R.O.S. (Groupe de Réflexion sur l’Obésité et le Surpoids), in order to regulate your diet in the long term.
