Meet Emilie Descamps, Dietitian Nutritionist in Berlin

Our diet is closely connected to our health. That’s why I help expatriates make nutrition a valuable ally for their health and well-being.

I offer individual nutrition consultations to help you improve your health, whether you are looking for preventive support or guidance for a specific health concern. I also offer group workshops to help you better understand your relationship with food and develop practical, sustainable habits.

My goal is to help you adapt your diet to your lifestyle, preferences, health needs, and enjoyment. My approach is based on a balanced and varied diet, with low-GI and anti-inflammatory principles when relevant.

At Lille University Hospital, I supported patients with obesity before and after bariatric surgery.

During this experience, I developed a particular interest in weight management. Working on hunger and fullness cues during therapeutic nutrition education workshops also showed me how important these sensations can be in supporting long-term changes in eating habits.

"Pre- and post-operative individual consultations, leading therapeutic patient education workshops, drafting personalized meal plans: Emilie quickly became independent and was soon able to take charge of patients in the department, while integrating extremely well into the multidisciplinary team. We quickly noticed her ease in patient relations, her professionalism, and her human qualities, which make her an excellent future healthcare professional."

At Nîmes University Hospital, I worked with patients with diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), overweight, and malnutrition.

This experience strengthened my understanding of the importance of recognizing and respecting hunger, fullness, and satiety cues to support a healthy and sustainable relationship with food.

"Emilie has been an excellent resource in our teams and has quickly adapted to our organization. We had the pleasure of welcoming Emilie to the Clinical Nutrition Unit at Nîmes University Hospital for five weeks as part of her training.
We recommend her for her teaching skills, team spirit, and proactivity. Her easygoing manner and active listening skills with patients were undeniable assets in the success of her dietary care."

I am a member of the BABSI Community, which promotes vegetarian and vegan lifestyles in Berlin and northern Germany through events, workshops, and community activities.

Through BABSI’s social media channels and cooking workshops, I share practical advice on balanced vegetarian and vegan nutrition, including how to meet protein and other nutritional needs when reducing animal products.

" Emilie's expertise and dedication to promoting healthy eating habits is an invaluable for the Babsi Community.

With her accurate advice on macronutrients, protein sources, and creative vegan recipe substitutions, she provides us with vital support.

Her passion about healthy food is very inspiring! "

My background

Originally from Lille, France, I have lived abroad in Spain and the United States and have called Berlin home for almost 10 years.

After starting my career in industry, I decided to change direction and pursue a career more closely aligned with my values and my interest in health and well-being.

I became a dietitian nutritionist to help people develop a healthier and more fulfilling relationship with food.

Trained and certified in France, I worked in two university hospitals before establishing my own nutrition practice in Berlin and online in 2022.

I believe food is a powerful tool for taking care of your health and well-being. I also believe that long-term nutritional changes start with understanding and respecting your body’s hunger, fullness, and satiety signals. My approach is inspired by the principles of G.R.O.S. (Groupe de Réflexion sur l’Obésité et le Surpoids).

Ready to take the next step?

I can help you find an approach to nutrition that fits your health, preferences, and lifestyle. Together, we can turn practical changes into sustainable habits.
